Rain!

Hey all

Its Saturday morning, 10am and its raining!!! oh but its still 25 degrees. It rains everyday but only for 10 mins at a time then the sun comes out and its boiling again!!! can't believe how the weather changes!

Just a quick note to my 3rds, thanks for all your emails and its brilliant to hear you won twice last weekend, so one last effort today this is your biggest game of the season, 3 points is a must - c'mon make me proud. This week I've been mainly chilling and getting over the jet lag which passed on Wednesday. After almost dying from exhaustion on Sunday I thought it was best I acclimatise so on Tuesday I went with Tim to Mossman gorge and Port Douglas about 50km north of cairns, it was a beautiful coastal road up there very windy with spectacular views of the pacific. At Port Douglas we wandered round and as in most instances we ended up in a pub for the afternoon, its all lager here so I gotta get use to the horrible stuff! On the way back from Port Douglas we stopped off at Ellis beach for a swim oh and just before we went in Tim said to look out for the stingers they can paralyse you (now imagine a raspberry sound coming from me!!!). Tuesday night I had my first training session and boy these Aussie are quick, its just attack attack attack - very hard to get used too.

Wednesday I did my touristy bit and took my camera like a true Jap into Cairns city and took some photos for you all (fell free to store them on your pc, there's of photo of 2 hunks for your wallpaper hehe!) and as you guessed I ended up at the lagoona again chillin in the water.

Thursday I spent just chilling with Tim's parents, they've been great looking after me, his dad is like an encyclopaedia giving me all the info I need. I had my first fitness session (sorry for swearing there I hate that word!) on the beach YES BEACH at Yorkie's Knob (I daren't ask why its called that) but it was still a killer running on the sand but it was nice to cool off in the sea after. Then Friday we went to go see Sahara at the cinema then Tim had to work so i headed to... yep you guessed it the lagoona, it was 35 degrees so I thought I'd get my big pomme man breasts out and get a tan.... not a good idea after 10 mins I was a pink as a lobster oooooops!

Today i'm off to watch Tim play in the classic league then tonight I'm off into town again with some of the boys, a kind of get to know me session, then tomorrow I got my second game, I will let you all know how I do.

I'm starting to settle in well and many of the people here are offering my lifts and little tours around the city so its all going well after the initial homesickness!!   I've made a new friend called Mo, he's Tim's parents dog and he follows me around the house all day and i play fetch will him. Missing you too Duncan (that's my dog back in England).   The creepy crawlies are loving me already I've been bitten so many times and i was attacked by a swarm of green ants, trust me you have never seem anyone run so fast in flip flops screaming like a big girl!!! The language barrier is sometimes confusing, as I get carried away talking woodhouse I just get a reply of a blank expression. Oh yeah flip flops are called thongs this lead to a lot of confusion. Spoke to Emma and Maz the other day and I'm meeting them in June!   Thanks for the song ricey (see below) very funny   as in Tony Christies record----- every night Taggies shagging his pillow, dreamin dreams of Mansfield Woodhouse, and sweet Trudie who waits for me

Enjoy the pics, many thanks for you emails I will try to reply to you all   Missing you lots

Live the dream   Taggie
