Been a Long Time.... Sorry!!!

Hey All

Whilst it's quiet I thought I'd send you all an update on what's been happening. It's been a while, sorry folks!

The hockey season has just finished here and for a change Brothers did pretty good, the men made it to the semi-finals and the women won the Premiership beating Ashleigh's team in the final, so as you can imagine I had mixed priorities that day and decided since the whole incident involved women to stay out the way!!!

I didn't have a great season with the hockey this year, I missed the start of the season with a groin injury then pulled my hamstring halfway through the season missing the next 5 weeks or so, losing my place in the squad and being on the bench for the rest of the season. I'm also the assistant manager / coach of the Cairns U18 Men's Squad, Tim is the coach and we are driving down to Rockhampton (the equivalent of driving to Switzerland) in a couple of weeks, I'm not looking forward to the journey. But we have a good squad and the boys should go alright.

Ashleigh made the top 10 players of the league again this year and also had her 1st year in the premier league side so she's going great guns, I'll have to get her to teach me how to play.

My sister came out in June, it was great to see her, we managed to cram lots in to the 10 days she was here, we went water skiing at Tinaroo dam, she did a bungee jump, and we swam with some turtles, stingrays (ala Steve Irwin) and some massive coral reef trout or whatever they are? Oh we also did a dive too and not being the greatest person in the water I was clinging onto her very tight.

Since she left its been back to the grind of work, I've almost completed my diploma in Finance Brokerage and things are going well on that front.

Tim and Michelle had a baby at the start of July, Anneliese Claire Evans was born on the 6th and thank god she looks more like Michelle hehe, only kidding Tim!

This weekend was the amateurs race weekend again with the ball on Friday night and the races on Saturday, as you can see from the pics Ash looked stunning and I again was labelled the penguin boy!!!

I'm sure many of you have heard that I will be paying you all a visit at the end of November till the middle of January it'll be great to see you all. We land on the 23rd but we are heading off round Europe on a contiki tour till the 14th of December as Ashleigh wants do some travel whilst we are over here. But after that I hope we get the chance to meet you all and catch up for a beer.

For all of you at North Notts my friends Nigel Giacomi and Daniel MacDonald will be arriving soon, I hope you all make them feel welcome and show them what we are all about!!!

Anyways, not much else to report except that I'm looking forward to seeing you all and saving up hard.

If any of you are up for a trip with me and Ash to somewhere in the UK let me know.

Take care, keep in touch.

Taggie
